I Need My Own Space

The setup of the traditional family house is geared towards the family as a whole. The women of the house usually are in complete control of the decorating. In most cases, the men don't really put up much of a fight in this regard either. Women put their decorative things all over the house. They have artwork, family pictures, potpourri, decorative bowls and just about everything else all over the majority of the house. They have approximately 43 decorative pillows that have to be placed on the bed every morning and taken off every night. Most of the house is marked by the presence of a woman and for the most part, the husband is alright with it.

In the same regard, the den or family room is usually the kids area. If not the den, then they usually have a playroom of some sort. Their 2000 toys scatter across the room and the TV usually has Spongebob or some other children's show permanently fixed on it. The children have access to this room at all times and any adults that want to watch anything in that room are usually out of luck.

With so much of the house already controlled, the man of the house is many times left without a place to call his own. However, many men are turning to the one place that can offer some solace to the chaos...their gameroom. A man needs a space to call his own and a gameroom is one of the best places in the house to do so. A gameroom gives the man a place to sit back and relax. He can decorate it with his favorite team logo (and we all know that he has a favorite team). He can have his friends over and play some billiards. He can crank up the music or watch the big game with his friends. You'd be surprised what kind of an effect a pool stick in hand and a football game on the TV can have on a man. It's almost like a therapeutic experience.

This is also a great way for the man of the house to get some quality time with friends. They'll obviously want to come over and play some billiards now that there friend has control of the game room. It's really a great place for male bonding to take place. Just pick your pool stick and let the hours of fun begin.

The game room should be a man's domain. The women get creative control of the other 90% of the house. The kids get the playroom or the den and the man is often left to shuffle around without a place to call his own. For many men, this can be frustrating and annoying if left alone. If you're a man, why not reward yourself with a game room decked out in your favorite team logos? If you're a woman, doesn't your husband deserve something to call his own? Look into setting up a game room like this in your household.

It's Gameday!!

Being a college sports fan is not something that most people take lightly. Its not one of those things that you can do half-heartedly. If you're a true fan, you're a fan of your team through thick and thin. Through undefeated seasons and defeated seasons, you're right there in the middle of it all. You'll see fans paint their entire bodies with their school colors if they are hardcore. Regardless of whether you go to those extremes or not, you undoubtedly want to support your team. If you've got a game room in your house, you have undoubtedly thought of decorating it with your team apparel. However, you might not have got around to it for any number of reasons. "I've got bigger fish to fry," you might think to yourself. While it might seem like overkill at first, just think about it for a moment.

It's game day of your favorite college football team. They've been getting steadily better every year for the last few years and you know it. You and your friends aren't just fans...you're fanatics. You live, eat, and breathe college football. You've invited your friends over for the first game of the season and you're ready to party. You're going to have nachos, wings, a big sandwich...the works. You've got a cooler full of your favorite drinks ready to go.

About an hour before the game, the first guests start to come over to your house. You walk them back to the game room and open the door. They are immediately greeted by a fully functional, decked-out game room. You've got everything in there and it all has your favorite team's logo on it. The lamp, the curtains, the pool table felt, the pool table balls, the walls, and pretty much everything in the room. Your friends mouths are hanging open in shock. They can't believe what is before them. They immediately wish that they had a game room of their own. However, for now, you are the envy of your group. It immediately starts a conversation among your friends and they ask you where you got all of this stuff. It sets the mood for the day and then the game just makes everything that much more fun.

Does this sound like something that interests you? If so, it is very achievable. You might think that it would take an unbelievable investment to pull something like this off. However, there has never been a better time to do it than now. Everything from the pool table felt to pool table balls is very reasonable if you know where to look.

Regardless of what you decide to buy for your game room, make sure that you do your research before you do. Make certain that the items you purchase are of the utmost quality and at reasonable prices. With the power of the internet, you can find whatever you're looking for. Just make sure that you're getting the best deal that you can get. Check it out today.
